With the addition of Edelweiss Life Total Secure+, Edelweiss Life has now got a complete product portfolio. This product combines the benefits of a term plan and a critical illness plan with added flexibility in premium payment terms and pay out options.
A comprehensive protection plan
Edelweiss Life Total Secure+, is a term plan and a critical illness plan rolled into one. Like a term plan, there is a death benefit for the untimely demise of the policyholder. Apart from this, there is the option of choosing between coverage from up to 7 or 35 critical illnesses. The critical illness cover is an accelerated benefit and not a Rider, which means that the policy continues for the basic Sum Assured after the critical illness cover is claimed. It is a part of the policy and not a separate add-on. The death benefit has multiple pay out options: lump sum, regular income, and increasing income. The entire pay out can be paid as a regular monthly income. Again, there is the option of receiving this as equal monthly instalments or at an increasing instalment at a 5% p.a compounded rate. In terms of premium payment terms, you can opt for single pay, regular pay, and limited pay options depending on your financial structure.
With the introduction of this product, Edelweiss Life has added another feather to their cap, especially in terms of online business. With a stand-alone term plan, a critical illness plan, a ULIP, and an endowment plan, Edelweiss Life’s product portfolio has been strengthened by the addition of Edelweiss Life Life Total Secure+.
