As a person with a regular source of income, it is mandatory for you to pay taxes to the government. An excellent way to increase your tax savings and avoid any tax penalty is to know it beforehand, the relevant tax dates for the whole year. As there are many important dates related to tax and one can’t possibly remember them all, you can find everything you will need to know about the Income-tax calendar here.

January 2018

7th January:

  • Marks the date for depositing deducted/collected tax for December 2017. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.
  • Marks the date for deposit of TDS for the period between October 2017 to December 2017 under section 192, 194A, 194D or 194H when the Assessing Officer has permitted quarterly deposit.

15th January:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for December 2017 has been paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly statement of TCS for the quarter ending December 31st,

30th January:

  • The due date for depositing the statement/challan under section 194- IA and 194-IB for the tax deducted/collected in December 2017.
  • Marks the date for deposit of TDS for the period between January 2018 to March 2018 under section 192, 194A, 194D or 194H when the Assessing Officer has permitted quarterly deposit.

31st January:

  • The due date for depositing quarterly statement of TDS for the quarter ending December 31st,

February 2018

7th February:

  • Marks the date for depositing deducted/collected tax for January However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

14th February:

  • The due date for issue of TDS certificate under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for December 2017.

15th February:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for January 2018 has been paid without producing a challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly certificate of TDS (for payments other than salary) for the quarter ending December 31st,

28th February:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for March 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

March 2018

2nd March:

  • The due date for producing statement/challan under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for February 2018.

7th March:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for February 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

15th March:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for January 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for depositing the fourth installment payment of advance tax for the assessment year 2018-2019.
  • The due date for paying the whole advance tax amount for assesses covered under the presumptive scheme of section 44AD for the assessment year 2018-19.
  • The due date for producing statement/challan under section 194-IA and 194-IB regarding the tax deducted for February 2018.

30th March:

  • The due date for producing statement/challan under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for February 2018.

April 2018

7TH April:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for March 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

14th April:

  • The due date for issue of TDS certificate under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for February 2018.

30th April:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for March 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for March 2018.
  • The due date for depositing of tax deducted by an assessee which is not an office of the government for March 2018.
  • Due date for deposit of TDS for the period January 2018 to March 2018 when Assessing Officer has permitted quarterly deposit of TDS under section 192,194A194Dor 194H.

May 2018

7th May:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for April 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

15th May:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for March 2018.
  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for January 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly TCS certificate for the quarter ending March 31, 2018.

30th May:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for March 2018.

31st May:

  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the quarter ending March 31, 2018.
  • The certificate of TDS to employees regarding the salary paid and tax deducted during 2017-18.

June 2018

7th June:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for May 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

14th June:

  • The due date for issue of TDS certificate under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for April 2018.

15th June:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for January 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly certificate of TDS (for payments other than salary) for the quarter ending March 31st,
  • The first installment payment of advance tax for the assessment year 2019-20.

30th June:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for May 2018.
  • The due date for return accounting to securities transaction fund regarding financial year 2017-18.

July 2018

7th July:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for June 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.
  • Marks the date for deposit of TDS for the period between January 2018 to March 2018 under section 192, 194A, 194D or 194H when the Assessing Officer has permitted quarterly deposit.

15th July:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for June 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for issue of TDS certificate under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for May 2018.
  • The quarterly statement of TCS deposited for the quarter ending 30 June 2018.

30th July:

  • The due date for depositing quarterly TCS certificate regarding tax collected for the quarter ending June 30, 2018.

August 2018

7th August:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for July 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

14th August:

  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the tax deducted in June 2018, under section 194-IA.

16th August

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for July 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly certificate of TDS (for payments other than salary) for the quarter ending June 30,

30th August:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for July 2018.

September 2018

7th September 2018:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for August 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax Challan.

14th September

  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the tax deducted in July 2018, under section 194-IA.

15th September:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for August 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The second installment payment of advance tax for the assessment year 2019-20.

30th September:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for August 2018.

October 2018

7th October 2018:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for September 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax
  • The due date for deposit of TDS for the period between July 2018 to September 2018 under section 192, 194A, 194D or 194H when the Assessing Officer has permitted quarterly deposit.

15th October:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for September 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the tax deducted in August 2018, under section 194-IA.

30th October:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for September 2018.

31st October:

  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the quarter ending September 30, 2018.

November 2018

7th November:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for October 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax

14th November:

  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the tax deducted in September 2018, under section 194-IA.

15th November:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for October 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly certificate of TDS (for payments other than salary) for the quarter ending September 30,

30th November:

  • The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for October 2018.

December 2018

7th December:

  • The due date for depositing deducted/collected tax for November 2018. However, the tax deducted/collected by any government office has to be paid to the Central government on the very same day where tax is paid without producing an Income Tax

15th December:

  • The due date for the completion of forms 24G by an office of government where the TDS for November 2018 has been paid without producing a Challan.
  • The third installment payment of advance tax for the assessment year 2019-20.
  • The due date for depositing quarterly TDS certificate for the tax deducted in October 2018, under section 194-IA.

30th December:

The due date for issue of challan/statement under section 194-IA regarding the tax deducted for November 2018
